*Be aware that I am standing on a raised point*
People! I demand your ears! Look at yourselves! Do you see how pathetic and weak you are compared to me? GAZE UPON MY MASS! Do you wish to have mass such as this? Do you want the buns and thighs of the gods? OF COURSE YOU DO!
Some of you may have the foolish notion that your mass is based solely upon your level of physical activity! HA!
Any scholar will tell you, that mass such as mine can only be bestowed by the Great God Fortis! His followers may be few, but we are STRONG, MANLY, AND GENEROUS LOVERS!
Women, look at your men! NOW GAZE UPON ME! Return your sight to those cowards! NOW VIEW MY MASS! Obviously, that milk drinker isn't me, but if he worshiped Fortis and followed the Tenants of David, he could become miraculously similar to me! THE CHOICE IS CLEAR!
Men! Do you think your wenches will be satisfied with you now that they have gazed upon a true man? OF COURSE NOT! When you are bedding her, whose name will she cry out? MANLIUS AMOUR! And what would you do about that? NOTHING! You are scrawny, and none of you have the ability to best me in combat! If you were to try, I'd slay you, and then claim your wife as my own!
Follow Fortis, and your body will never be the same!

A child among the crowd responded with this, "Too much words, not much action to prove yourself."
Drawing a dagger, he then said, "Maurice Wirt Caulaincourt, former Ombudsman of the Courtiers of Lord Michel Nicole Demetrius. I'm quite ashamed that of all persons from the Forces of Order I will meet, it's you who I am facing right now. Are you taking pride in your body that was given to you by the great Fortis? I'm not expecting that a god as divine as Fortis would give body mass to such a domineering wretch like you! And you're carrying the name of the Forces of Order to disdain! I'll prove to you that intellect will succeed over mere show of force! I'll punish you in the name of the Forces of Order!"

Manlius gazes through the crowd, trying to the source of the voice.
"Who challenges me? A dwarf? Never have I heard any dwarf with a voice so feminine! I would gladly fight you, but the advantage would be mine. My reach far outshines yours, not to mention my size! I do not seek confrontation with someone such as yourself.
But that you dare challenge the Will of Fortis? Folly. If you were a man, I would crush you like the bug that you are! Come forth, that I may see you!"

"Feminine, eh? If you want to think so, then it proves your lack of intellect."
From the crowd emerged a male child, wearing black robes.
"Boastful attitude has no place in our Forces of Order. That attitude will drag you down with your body unworthy of your mannerisms. You are of the side of Order, you should know that. Or you're rejecting Order's accord in favor of your attitude? I don't really know if you're chaotic, or just plain stupidity is within your head. Either way, I'll offer you two options: repent of your actions you have done and retract all you have said right here, and you retain your honor; and attack me because you think I have offended your pride; and you lose your honor even if you win or you lose, for you violate morality and logic in that action. When you choose the latter option, I'll be ready, and maybe I even don't have to use my twin daggers."

"AHAHAHAHA! A Child! Of all who gather before me, a CHILD speaks his dissent? This must be a harsh blow to your masculinity, indeed!" Manlius walks over, and places his hand upon the child's head. "You, I like. One day, you shall grow up to be a fine man, although somewhat lacking in the body mass department.
You mistake yourself, child. I do not boast. I merely show these weaklings the power and strength that could be bestowed upon them should they choose to follow this path. Surely you cannot fault me for wanting to help them overcome their weakness? Come, it is time for Ale!"

Maurice pondered for a while, then said, smiling, "Sir Manlius, are you sure you aren't boasting? But since you have a lot of crowd there giving ears to what are you preaching, and since I'm new in this area, I ask you forgiveness in the matter. I've seen and heard a person who preaches like that, and still those who lent ears on him respects him a lot. And if you pardon me, I've tasted alcohol in my days of being a soldier but I can only drink one pint of ale a session, and this amount in celebrations only when a lot of soldiers presses me to drink. But hey, I can not and will not spoil a drinking session."

"That's the spirit, Child! A pint for you, and a gallon for me! And, perhaps, I will be able to persuade you to drink more than you are able, and we will have a grand time! To the Tavren!" Manlius leads the way, the crowd parting, finding it hard to ignore his massive girth. Once there, he calls a serving girl over and orders the strongest drink they have.
"Tell me, boy, what's your name, and where do you come from? I have much to learn if I am to take you under my wing!"

Maurice replied, "My name is Maurice Wirt Caulaincourt, and I'm former ombudsman and special prosecutor of a noble's courtiers from the Forces of Order, and also a former officer of the Forces of Chaos. I hail from the Urunzar Highlands."

"WONDERFUL! Glad to know it!" Manlius grabs the nearest tankard, draining it within seconds. "Now, forget everything! Your new life starts today, with me! I will train you to be manly, good in bed, and strong! Before the two of us, our enemies will quake in fear! Manlius and his pupil Maury will be known throughout the land as the antithesis of all that is Chaos!"

Seeing Manlius empty his ale somewhat very fast, Maurice then thought it not prudent for him to slowly empty his cup by sips. He emptied the remaining ale in one gulp, which made his face red. He then sighed and said, "And in exchange of what you will teach me, I will instruct you on the little of what I have learned from my past experiences. Surely after all of our exchange of thoughts, the ox you are, resilient but somewhat lacking of desire to kill; and the snake I am, very ferocious but in extreme lack of stamina; will become dragons in our own right. We'll defeat all that is Chaos, and peace will reign in the land. I am willing to be your pupil in the strictest sense of the word, but I trust you will even lend ears on whatever small talents that I might share to you. What say you, Master Manlius?"

Upon hearing those last words, Manlius's face falls, and his eyes grow dark. He sat in thought for a minute or so, staring into his empty tankard. Suddenly, his uproarious demeanor returns, and calls for a full pitcher of ale. "Aye, I'm sure there's much a boy such as yourself could teach me. But you're thinking far too big! Our goal isn't to eradicate Chaos. We must make our own way, and let Fate guide what we do. We will fight for Order, to be sure, but if everything is Orderly, when would there be any need for adventurers such as ourselves? No, everything must exist in balance. Let's take a tortoise, for instance. It is very slow, but it's also very strong. It doesn't need to be quick to avoid it's enemies because of it's shell. If it didn't have that shell, it would be quicker, maybe quick enough to evade it's foes. Balance must exist in the world. We only fight what attacks us first. We do not engage.
Also, don't call me Master! Manlius is my name, and I am no man's master!"

Maurice, pondering on Manlius' words, replied, "Sorry, got carried away by the alcohol." He then sighed. "A wise man had said that wine doesn't necessarily bring the evilness of the drinker, it only reflects and expounds his true emotions. I think that would be true for me. I had witnessed barbarity first hand when I was an officer of the Force of Chaos before. There had I saw that one can do evil and run away with it, while the one who apprehended the wrongdoer rots in the dungeon. I would dare think bribery and nepotism was widespread there."

"Of course! There is nothing of honor to be gained through Chaos! The money, the fame, the power, these are things that draw people into it. Which is why we will fight it when it interferes with our plans." Manlius stood up, stretched, and smiled at Maurice. "Now let's hear what your skills are. You may be young, but no one taunts Manlius Amour unless they have something to back it up with."

Maurice replied, "I'm only a child who was instructed on the art of forever silencing others in a quick manner. An assassin in the shortest term possible, but I only silence those who I think is dangerous to most people. I'm skilled in holding and throwing daggers, and I can move as fast as my body permits me. Like what I said earlier, I'm like a snake: I can paralyze and kill like a cobra, I can move as fast as a tree snake, but I'm as weak in fortitude as a newly-hatched rattlesnake."
